Facilities Manager

About the role

Lead a national facilities function across a growing multi-site organisation. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring sites are safe, compliant, well-maintained and operationally effective, while driving continuous improvement, cost control and service excellence. Reporting to a senior executive leader, you will provide both strategic direction and hands-on leadership across maintenance, capital works, facilities projects, contractor management and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a national facilities team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.

• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programs across multiple sites.

• Manage capital works, refurbishment projects, site handovers and warranty-related works.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant building, safety and regulatory requirements.

• Manage national service contracts, supplier relationships and contractor performance.

• Monitor operational and capital expenditure against approved budgets.

• Conduct site audits to ensure presentation, maintenance and compliance standards are maintained.

• Support operational leaders with property, maintenance and facilities-related matters.

• Provide reporting, analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders.

• Drive process improvements, system enhancements and scalable facilities solutions.

About you

• Significant experience in multi-site facilities management.

• A relevant tertiary qualification, trade background or equivalent industry experience.

• Strong knowledge of facilities operations, maintenance management and project delivery.

• Experience managing service contracts, suppliers and external contractors.

• Proven people leadership experience, including leading geographically dispersed teams.

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and expenditure.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• High proficiency with Microsoft 365 and reporting systems.

• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
