About the role:
Veterans First Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused CSC Case Officer to join our growing team. This is a newly created role suited to someone who thrives in a structured, purpose-driven environment and takes pride in managing cases with accuracy, care, and efficiency. You will play a key role in building strong client files, maintaining accurate records, and moving cases forward through the CSC invalidity process from intake to outcome.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and manage comprehensive client case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with CSC requirements
Coordinate the collection, review, and organisation of medical, service, and supporting evidence
Manage case timelines and task lists, proactively tracking progress and following up on outstanding items
Liaise with clients to gather information, provide updates, and maintain a high standard of communication throughout the process
Engage with key stakeholders including CSC, Defence, and DVA as required to progress matters
Accurately enter and maintain client data across internal systems
Identify and escalate complex or urgent matters to the CSC Supervisor with appropriate context
Adhere to firm processes and contribute to their continuous improvement
Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and a client-first approach at all times
Experience/ Qualifications:
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities
High attention to detail, particularly in document review, data entry, and file management
Clear and professional communication skills both written and verbal
Comfortable working with case management systems and digital documentation tools
A proactive, self-motivated approach suited to independent remote work
Alignment with VFC's values and standards
Previous experience in claims management or a similar case-based role highly regarded
Prior working knowledge of or experience with CSC invalidity processes highly regarded
Ability to obtain a clear police check and relevant state-based clearances (e.g. Working With Vulnerable People/Children)
