Operations Manager

• Up to $130K + Super, negotiable | South West Sydney

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a growing Australian manufacturer at a pivotal stage of its operational transformation.
  
Reporting directly to the COO, you will take ownership of warehouse performance, people, processes and operational capability, while playing a key role in the organisation’s digital transformation and warehouse automation journey.
  
We are looking for an operational leader who can bridge the gap between technology and people - ensuring new systems, automated processes, policies and ways of working are successfully implemented, adopted and embedded across the operation.
  
The Role  

• Lead warehouse operations, performance and team capability, ensuring the operation continues to deliver against business objectives
• Drive the warehouse transformation program, including digitisation, system upgrades and robotics/automation initiatives
• Lead the adoption of new systems, policies, procedures and SOPs, ensuring changes are embedded across the operation
• Identify opportunities to digitise manual processes, improve workflows and use automation to increase productivity, accuracy and scalability
• Establish and monitor KPIs, using operational data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement
• Partner with the COO and key stakeholders to align technology, processes and people with future business requirements
• Lead and develop a large operational team through a significant period of change, building accountability, capability and engagement
• Maintain strong operational standards across inventory, quality, safety, compliance and risk

  
About You
  
You are an experienced Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, Distribution Manager or similar senior operational leader who has successfully led teams and improved warehouse operations through systems, technology and process transformation.
  
You will bring:  

• Significant experience leading warehouse, distribution, logistics or manufacturing operations
• Proven experience delivering digital transformation, system upgrades or warehouse automation projects
• Strong change-management skills and the ability to bring teams along through significant operational change
• Experience implementing and embedding new policies, procedures, SOPs and ways of working
• Strong analytical and KPI-management capability
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing large operational teams
• Confidence working with ERP, WMS, inventory or other operational technology platforms
