Sea Star Bakery is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team on a part-time basis. Based in Campbellfield VIC 3061, this role is essential to our operations, ensuring that our fresh baked goods reach customers promptly and in perfect condition. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of Sea Star Bakery to our valued clients, making this a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for quality service and product excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies

• Collect and deliver bakery products to customers on designated routes within agreed timeframes

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, customer signatures and any damages or discrepancies

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, including fuel, oil and tyre pressure, and report any mechanical issues promptly

• Handle bakery products with care to ensure they arrive in optimal condition

• Communicate professionally with customers, addressing queries and gathering feedback

• Manage delivery documentation and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately

• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and well-organised at all times

• Assist with loading products onto the delivery vehicle at the start of each shift

What we're looking for

• A valid Australian driver's licence with a clean driving record

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transport role

• Strong knowledge of local roads and navigation skills, with the ability to plan efficient routes

• Excellent time management and reliability; punctuality is essential

• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry goods safely throughout the day

• Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach

• The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule

• Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform routine vehicle checks

• A commitment to safe driving practices and compliance with all relevant regulations
