The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Storeperson to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. The successful candidate will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to manage inventory, dispatch orders accurately and promptly, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations.

• Unload containers using forklifts and manual handling techniques.

• Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders off manual picking slips and RF scanning units.

• Ensure the safe, structured, and timely dispatch of goods.

• Receive, inspect, and record deliveries, ensuring product quality and reporting any issues.

• Assist in stock control and cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory levels.

• Operate warehouse equipment, including Reach Forklifts, Counterbalance Forklifts, pallet jacks, and wrapping machines.

• Monitor and report mechanical issues with warehouse equipment.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OH&S regulations.

• Attend mandatory training, including 5S, safety, and quality compliance.

• Collaborate with internal departments to fulfill operational requirements.

• Provide training and mentorship to other team members as needed.

• Perform other general warehouse and operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse pick/pack environment.

• Forklift & Reach Truck license is mandatory.

• A valid driver's license is preferred for supplier pickups.

• Experience operating RF scanning units.

• Ability to work with warehouse management systems (Pronto system experience preferred).

• Strong attention to detail in picking and packing to prevent errors.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative while maintaining team collaboration.

• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety practices and Lean Warehouse Processes.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong communication skills with a positive and proactive work attitude.
