This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, takes pride in high standards, and genuinely enjoys working with animals. You'll be responsible for the daily care and well-being of our guests, maintaining our facilities, and delivering outstanding service to pet owners.

Key responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining kennels to the high standards required by Belly Rubs Boarding

• Assisting with the upkeep of kennel facilities, yards, and surrounding property as part of daily operations

• Checking dogs in and out of the facility and providing excellent customer service to pet owners

• Monitoring the health, safety, and well-being of all dogs in our care and promptly reporting any concerns to the Directors

• Feeding, exercising, supervising, and providing enrichment activities for dogs in our care

• Handling dogs safely and confidently, including dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments

• Assisting with pet transportation services, including driving company vehicles as directed

• Completing required training and professional development activities as assigned by the Directors

• Working collaboratively with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the boarding facility

About you

• Previous experience working in a boarding kennel or similar animal care environment

• Current, full and unrestricted Australian driver's licence

• Experience handling dogs of varying breeds, sizes, temperaments, and needs

• Genuine love of dogs and a strong commitment to animal welfare

• Physically fit and capable of performing cleaning, lifting, and other manual duties

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Available to work weekends, public holidays, and rostered shifts as required

• Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

• Shows initiative and has a strong work ethic
