Warehouse Receiving Assistant

About the role

Our small but very busy inwards goods area needs another set of capable hands. Full time, $28 – $34 per hour based on experience. Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Key responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and unloading incoming deliveries against orders

• Booking stock into our inventory system — we'll train you on our inhouse software

• Putting stock away accurately with proper rotation

• Getting customer backorders across to the despatch team the same day they land

• Looking after customers collecting orders — handing over their goods and helping with any questions

• Backing up on incoming phone calls when the team is stretched

• Helping with rolling stock checks

• Keeping the inwards area clean, organised and safe for everyone

• Working closely with our despatch and internal sales teams

About you

• Hands-on, physical, on-your-feet work — and you enjoy that

• Reliable, punctual and calm under pace

• A sharp eye — fasteners demand one, and wrong counts cause problems downstream

• The sort who looks for something to do and feels satisfied when the job is done

• Proactive and forward thinking — if it can be better, either tell us or do it

• Comfortable with computers and handheld scanners, or quick to learn

• Warehouse experience is preferred but not a prerequisite — attitude and work ethic matter more, and we train the rest

We've been selling online for over 15 years from our clean, modern warehouse in Murarrie, and we're a tight team of around 25 who move a lot of stock and back each other up.
