About the role

The Supply Chain Partnerships Co-ordinator supports the development, growth and co-ordination of strategic partnerships across the food and grocery supply chain that create meaningful and mutually rewarding outcomes for Foodbank WA and our partners.

The role supports strong, long-term relationships with farmers, growers, producers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, transport providers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners. Through proactive engagement, donor stewardship and collaboration, the position supports the identification of opportunities that contribute to Foodbank WA's food relief mission while helping partners achieve sustainability, waste reduction, team engagement, community investment and operational objectives.


Key responsibilities 

Strategic Partnership Development

  • Support the development, growth and co-ordination of strategic partnerships across the food and grocery supply chain.

  • Support strong relationships with farmers, growers, producers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, transport providers and 3PL partners.

  • Identify opportunities that create long-term value and mutually rewarding outcomes for Foodbank WA and our partners.

  • Support partnership plans and collaborative initiatives aligned with Foodbank WA priorities and partner objectives.

  • Support Foodbank WA to be positioned as the preferred partner for food recovery, surplus food redistribution, sustainability and community impact initiatives.

  • Represent Foodbank WA at industry events, networking opportunities and stakeholder forums, where required.

Partnership and Donor Stewardship

  • Support strong partnership engagement and donor stewardship and ensure Foodbank WA remains front of mind with existing and prospective partners.

  • Maintain structured engagement plans and regular contact with key partners.

  • Ensure partners experience Foodbank WA as professional, responsive and easy to work with.

  • Maintain accurate partner contacts, meetings, opportunities, actions and outcomes in Salesforce as the single source of truth.

Sustainability and Community Impact

  • Work with partners to support food rescue, waste reduction, circular economy and sustainability objectives.

  • Identify opportunities to divert quality food and grocery products from landfill and maximise community benefit.

  • Support collaborative programs that align Foodbank WA’s purpose with partner sustainability, ESG and community investment goals.

  • Identify innovative opportunities that deliver measurable environmental, social and community outcomes.

Team Engagement and Collaboration

  • Support meaningful volunteering, workplace giving and team engagement opportunities with partners.

  • Facilitate collaborative projects, campaigns and events that strengthen relationships and increase impact.

  • Work closely with Marketing, Fundraising, Customer & Network and Supply Chain teams to maximise partnership value.

  • Promote Foodbank WA’s purpose and impact across partner organisations and industry networks.

Supply Chain Collaboration

  • Work with Supply Chain, Logistics and Customer & Network teams to understand demand, supply gaps and strategic priorities.

  • Support sustainable supply programs across Fresh, Ambient, Frozen and Non-Food categories.

  • Leverage transport, freight and 3PL partnerships to improve product movement, equipment utilisation and operational efficiency.

  • Complete site visits across farms, packing sheds, markets, manufacturers, retail distribution centres and logistics operations.

  • Monitor industry trends and identify emerging partnership opportunities, risks and areas for growth.

Administration and Self-Management

  • Provide accurate monthly reporting on partnership activity, opportunities, outcomes, risks and pipeline development.

  • Participate positively in team meetings and share relevant information across Foodbank WA.

  • Co-ordinate priorities and follow-up actions within agreed timeframes.

  • Undertake training, development and other duties as required.

  • Demonstrate Foodbank WA’s values of Respect, Compassion, Integrity, Collaboration and Responsibility in all work activities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform standard office-based tasks, including computer use, and travel by road or air across Western Australia.

  • Ability to lift items weighing approximately 10 to 16 kg.

Essential Criteria:

  • At least two years’ experience in business development, account co-ordination, strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement or sales, preferably within the food, grocery, logistics or supply chain sector.

  • Demonstrated understanding of food production, food supply chains and/or logistics.

  • Proven ability to establish, develop and maintain strategic stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify mutually beneficial partnership opportunities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and influencing skills.

  • Strong organisational and time co-ordination skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and experience using CRM systems.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Strong service focus and commitment to Foodbank WA’s purpose and values.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience supporting contract discussions and stakeholder engagement.

  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM.

  • Knowledge of warehouse, logistics, food safety or Chain of Responsibility requirements.

  • Data analysis and reporting skills.

  • Experience working in a not-for-profit or community organisation.

Other Requirements

  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid Australian working rights.

  • Current and valid Western Australian driver’s licence.
