As our Portfolio Performance Adviser, you'll play a critical role in maximising the performance and value of our operational and capital portfolios by strengthening benefits realisation, supporting portfolio optimisation and driving  continuous improvement across the enterprise.

About the role

This is an opportunity to influence how Barwon Water measures, assures and realises value from its enterprise portfolio. Working across operational and capital initiatives, you'll provide the frameworks, portfolio insights and governance that help leaders make informed decisions and maximise value.

You'll partner with sponsors, leaders and delivery teams to embed measurable benefits, clear ownership and stronger accountability from business case development through to implementation, benefit tracking and post-implementation review. You'll develop and maintain benefits frameworks, tools and reporting, provide coaching and quality assurance, and translate portfolio, financial and delivery information into clear insights on realised benefits, delivery confidence, risks and opportunities for improvement.

Beyond reporting, you'll drive continuous improvement across the enterprise portfolio. You'll identify opportunities to optimise business processes, strengthen governance, improve decision-making and elevate portfolio maturity. Your work will help ensure strategic initiatives deliver sustainable benefits.

About you

You're motivated by outcomes and thrive in environments where you can influence meaningful change. Whether your background is in benefits realisation, portfolio management, business improvement or project governance, you understand how to connect strategy, delivery and measurable value.

You’ll bring strong analytical capability and commercial acumen, using data, performance measures and financial insights to uncover trends, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Your qualification in business, commerce, project management – or equivalent professional experience – will support success in the role. Portfolio Management Office experience is highly desirable.  You'll be comfortable navigating complexity and translating information into practical recommendations that support better decisions.

Equally important is your ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organisation. You enjoy partnering with diverse stakeholders, creating alignment and bringing others on the journey.
