Financial Manager
Odd Culture Group
Deskripsi Pekerjaan
Finance Manager | Odd Culture Hospitality Group
About the role
You will be the financial custodian of Odd Culture Group — the person who reviews what the bookkeepers produce with a venue operator's eye, holds transactional control of the payment and payroll cycles as a bank signatory, owns cash controls and cash flow, and drives supplier costs down. You'll work directly with the CEO and have genuine influence over how the group manages its money.
Key responsibilities
Review the weekly and monthly P&Ls with full operational context — identifying missing or unexpected bills, incorrect allocations and anomalies the bookkeepers cannot see, and ensuring the accounts reflect what actually happened in the venues
Own the group invoice tracker: know what bills are expected each week, by venue and department, and chase gaps before they distort reporting
Deliver reviewed P&Ls to the CEO with commentary on variances, trends and margin performance
Act as the primary counterpart to the outsourced bookkeeping partner — resolving their queries quickly, ensuring they have timely and complete information, and holding their output to standard
Audit supplier bills to ensure invoice line items reflect agreed group pricing and quantities delivered
Identify line items where the group is paying above market, and action the response: benchmarking, renegotiation or running a competitive tender process
Negotiate supplier pricing and terms across the group, and monitor ongoing compliance against agreed rates through the purchasing platform
Audit company card and petty cash expenditure, and staff discount usage, on a regular cycle
Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts, ensuring funds are available for every major commitment — IAS, BAS, payroll tax and loan repayments — ahead of lodgement and payment dates
Own the group's physical cash controls: daily takings, cash sheet and safe count audits; receiving, counting and reconciling cash banking against POS reports; and investigating discrepancies with Operations
About you
CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent), with significant experience at Financial Controller or Finance Manager level
Hospitality is essential to this role — you know what a venue's cost lines should look like, and you notice when they don't
A forensic eye for detail: you find the missing bills, mis-postings and margin leaks that slip past transactional processes
Strong commercial instincts — comfortable benchmarking costs, negotiating with suppliers and running tender processes
Experienced working with (and getting the best out of) outsourced bookkeeping or shared-services teams
A person of demonstrable integrity — this role carries bank signatory authority and transactional control, and full background and reference checks will be conducted
Ambitious to grow with the business into a group leadership role
