Senior Consultant Logistics Technology Services

Jenner & Co is partnering with one of its repeat clients to source their new Senior Consultant Logistics Technology Services.

Ideally the role will be Melbourne based, however Sydney could be an option

The core focus will be providing Supply Chain Strategy, Network & Intralogistics Solutions to their clients

The successful person will be a key technical expert responsible for translating business requirements into effective supply chain technology solutions. This role is heavily focused on the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial design and configuration through to successful implementation, testing, and go-live.

This role works closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and other technical teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined business objectives. The role has multiple reporting relationships, including the direct Manager for work allocation, overall work performance evaluation and potentially Transformation Leads who direct day to day work requirements. The role will also have an experienced Mentor who will provide support and professional and career development

Key responsibilities....

• Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to understand supply chain business requirements and challenges.

• Contribute to the design of scalable, robust, and integrated technology solutions across various supply chain domains (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS, Inventory Planning).

• Assess existing systems and identify opportunities for optimization, integration, and automation.

• Develop detailed technical specifications, functional designs, and configuration documents.

• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.

• Provide technical guidance and support to business users during implementation and post-go-live.

• Participate in project meetings, providing technical updates and insights

•  Perform hands-on configuration of supply chain software modules (e.g., Blue Yonder Manhattan WMS, etc.) according to business requirements documents

• Develop or oversee the development of integrations between disparate supply chain systems using various middleware and API technologies.

• Conduct unit testing and support integration testing to ensure solution integrity and functionality.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during design, development, and testing phases.

• Develop comprehensive test cases and scenarios for systems integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Coordinate and support UAT activities, working closely with business users to validate solutions.

• Identify, track, and resolve defects, ensuring high-quality solution delivery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field is desirable

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in supply chain technology, with a strong focus on solution design, configuration, and implementation.

• Proven track record of successful project delivery in a technology-focused role.

• Hands-on experience with at least one major ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), WMS (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder), or TMS (e.g., Oracle OTM) system.

• Experience with integration technologies (APIs, EDI, middleware) is desirable.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT/software implementation projects in supply chain (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP, Inventory Planning).
