The Opportunity:

Wings Early Learning is seeking an exceptional Area Manager to join our team.  As an area manager you won’t just oversee services, you will be a visible Leader, working alongside our managers in our services.  In this role, you will build relationships, support our teams and ensure that our services continue to operate at an exceptional level providing high-quality outcomes for children, families, staff and stakeholders.

 Wings partners with KnOT Occupational Therapy, and provides onsite therapy for children, to ease the pressure on family life scheduling.

Within this role, you will:

·         Support and mentor Centre Directors and Leadership teams within our services.

·         Shape and support team culture and capability and leadership skills in others

·         Drive centre performance relating to occupancy, compliance and quality

·         Support Centre Managers to achieve operational goals

·         Guide continuous improvement across the services

·         Ensure compliance in each service

·         Uphold the premium standards and values of Wings

·         Facilitate and deliver training for staff  

·         Champion Child Safety across the business and supporting the team in risk management and child safe practices.

To be successful, you will have:

·         Proven experience as an Area Manager or a comparable multi-site leadership role withing the Early Childhood Sector

·         Outstanding communication skills

·         Exceptional organisational skills and ability to work autonomously with efficiency

·         Strong knowledge of the NQF, National Regulations, National Law, Kindergarten funding Guidelines

·         Confidence in holding others accountable

·         A warm and professional leadership style who can adapt to differences in others.

·         An interest in supporting and developing your teams

·         A passion for excellence in quality

·         A love for a fast-paced environment

·         A genuine commitment to child Safety within the sector

What you will bring:

·         Minimum Diploma of Children’s Services or approved equivalent

·         Current paid blue card

·         Current first aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications

·         Current drivers license and a willingness to travel and work on site at our services each day

·         Applicants must supply a minimum of three professional references, one of whom must have held a recent senior leadership or management role within an early childhood or education service.
