Warehouse Assistant

We are pleased to offer an employment opportunity for the position of Warehouse Assistant at VERVE Fitness, Australia's leading fitness supply company. This role is at the centre of our daily operations, moving product from inbound trucks through to accurate, well-packed orders leaving for customers across Australia.

Position Overview

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the hands-on flow of stock through our warehouse: receiving and unloading deliveries, putting stock away, picking and packing customer orders, and loading outbound freight. The ideal candidate is accurate under pressure, physically capable of handling heavy fitness equipment, comfortable operating warehouse equipment, and takes pride in getting orders out complete, undamaged and on time. Keeping the workspace clean and safe is part of the job, not the whole job.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Unloading inbound trucks and containers, checking deliveries against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies or damage

• Receiving stock into the system and putting it away in the correct locations

• Picking customer orders accurately using our warehouse management system and handheld scanners

• Packing orders to VERVE standards, including protective packaging for heavy and bulky fitness equipment

• Loading outbound freight, including palletising, strapping and wrapping for safe transport

• Preparing consignments and labels for couriers and freight carriers

• Assisting with stocktakes and cycle counts

• Keeping pick faces, packing benches and loading areas clean, safe and organised

• Supporting the wider warehouse team during peak periods and with general upkeep when required

Preferred Candidate

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both as part of a team and autonomously

• Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting and handling of heavy items

• Accurate with good attention to detail; picking and packing errors cost us customers

• A current forklift licence (LF) would be highly regarded but is not essential

• Previous warehouse, pick and pack or freight experience an advantage

Employment Details

• Position Type: Casual, with a genuine pathway to a permanent full-time position for the right candidate

• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

• Location: Upper Coomera QLD 4209

• Start Date: Immediately

• Wage/Salary: General Retail Industry Award (MA000004) age and experience will dictate starting wage
