Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced EMR Development Analyst to join the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Team within Digital Health.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

The EMR Development Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, design, build, configuration, testing and conversion of the EMR at Northern Health.

The EMR Development Analyst is responsible for the review of existing workflows, content and configuration to contribute to the optimisation of current workflows and the design of new workflows from a clinical perspective.

The EMR Development Analyst will be self-motivated and passionate about continuous learning and improvement in applying emerging EMR build tools and best practices to enhance the functionality, usability and performance of the EMR.

The EMR Development Analyst will be required to have a good level of knowledge for each of the following EMR applications:

• Care Delivery

• Core and Patient Movement

• Orders and Results

• Emergency Firstnet

• Surgery Surginet /Anaesthesia

• Medications

• Maternity

• Technical Device

The EMR Development Analyst is required to have strong clinical workflow knowledge and possess business analytic skills.

The EMR Development Analyst will have the ability to work autonomously and analyse clinical workflows, collect and review data in the data collection workbooks.

The EMR Development Analyst will work collaboratively with the EMR team, service departments and clinical staff for all EMR related matters.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A tertiary degree in healthcare, or science related field (equivalent).
• A clinical or other health related background, with an interest in computerised workflows, best practice, innovation, clinical documentation and healthcare informatics.
• Demonstrated experience working in a metropolitan hospital environment and understanding of clinical workflows in the acute and subacute inpatient settings.
• Experience using common business analysis software such as Microsoft Visio and excel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and triage defects during the testing processes.
