Part-Time Social Media Manager

About the role

You'll be responsible for shooting, editing and posting content across Talk Energy's social media channels, helping us communicate who we are, what we stand for and why we're experts in our industry. You'll have access to our team, electricians, engineers, installations, projects, customers, events and day-to-day operations, giving you plenty of opportunities to create authentic and engaging content.

Key responsibilities

• Take content from idea to publication, including planning concepts, filming, photography, editing, writing captions and posting

• Identify moments worth capturing and create short-form content designed for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other platforms

• Showcase Talk Energy's mission, vision and company culture through content

• Capture behind-the-scenes footage from installations and the office

• Create educational and informative energy content

• Document company events, milestones and achievements

• Work closely with management and the wider Talk Energy team on content strategy

• Experiment with different formats, styles and ideas

About you

• Comfortable filming and editing short-form video

• Understand what makes social content engaging

• Willing to get involved with different parts of the business

• Experience with tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva or similar platforms would be valuable

• Creative, reliable and motivated
