The Role
The primary purpose of the position of the Principal Consultant Workplace Relations is to provide high quality workplace relations advice, assistance and guidance to FRV and support FRV in managing and responding to a vast array of employee and industrial relations matters, including handling of disputes and grievances that arise across the workforce.
Functional Accountabilities:
Provide high-level, strategic and specialist/ technical advice on workplace relations matters to FRV leaders and line managers as required
Manage, monitor, analyse, interpret and report back on complex and other employee and industrial relations issues, trends and disputes applicable to FRV
Engage with the team and broader business to develop and implement initiatives and measures to achieve continuous improvement
In collaboration with other divisions within the People and Culture Directorate, ensure compliance with applicable industrial instruments.
The Team
The People and Culture Directorate takes a lead role in strategy development and implementation to enable FRV to have a safe workplace, a respectful and achievement-oriented culture, and an agile and engaged workforce. The key functions of the directorate are Human Resources Systems and Services, Health and Wellbeing, Workplace Relations and Ethical Standards, Organisational Development and Business Partnering, and Media and Communications.

What you will need to Succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or related discipline and/or proven experience undertaking a similar role in a large and complex organisation
Highly developed oral and written communication and negotiation skills, and ability to write in a clear and unambiguous manner
Demonstrated experience providing high level technical advice (employment/industrial relations)
Demonstrated experience managing and engaging with stakeholders.
Ability to monitor and analyse industrial/ workplace issues, trends, case law and legislative change.
