We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to become a key member of a growing and supportive team, with the ability to contribute directly to the company's continued growth, operational performance, and financial success.

VM Drilling is a privately owned RC drilling company based in Kalgoorlie, serving clients throughout Western Australia. VM Drilling was established in 2004 as a one rig company and has grown organically to a reputable mid-size company. Today the business is operating up to 10 Rigs and possesses extensive experience within the mining industry.

• Monthly management reporting
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Cash flow management
• Payroll oversight
• Taxation compliance
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management
• Asset and fleet reporting
• Financial controls and governance
• Business improvement initiatives

About you

• CPA or CA qualified 
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior accounting or finance role
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling and management reporting
• Experience with Xero, CorePlan, Connecteam, and other accounting, ERP and payroll systems
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and leadership skills
• A collaborative team player who can build strong relationships across the business
• A proactive approach to identifying efficiencies and driving continuous improvement
