Technical Business Anlayst (AI and Data)

Hiring Technical Business Analyst for one the fast paced client to join their growing Data, Analytics and AI Function.

The Technical Business Analyst has a fundamental role enabling and supporting the business to leverage BI & Analytics tools, while also applying AI-assisted tools such as GitHub and GitHub Copilot to accelerate solution design, documentation and delivery.

Capturing business requirements using Analysis techniques, liaising with business users, and providing support to translate business requirements into design, development, testing, training and implementation of solutions - combining traditional BA discipline with process improvement and AI-driven productivity.

6 Month role; possbility on ext

$700 per day plus super

Responsibilities

• Promote and support the team's continuous improvement in quality and delivery output

• Utilise functional knowledge to translate business requirements into viable solutions, participating in the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of BI and analytics solutions

• Develop business requirements and functional design documents, end user manuals and business glossary

• Develop user stories that balance great user experience with fit-for-purpose User Interface development

• Manage cross-functionalprojects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with strategic goals while mitigating risks and adapting to project performance and stakeholder input

• Develop and execute change management strategies, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement and communication plans, to support successful adoption of new systems and reporting processes

• Regular and effective internal customer engagement to build strong partnerships with stakeholders

• Work with business units, project managers and project teams responsible for IT delivery and services.

Skills Required

• 5+ years demonstrated experience in Technical Business Analysis, ideally related to BI, Data Warehouse and Analytics solutions

• Programming concepts and advanced knowledge of SQL

• Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g. Azure Synapse/Fabric, AWS Redshift, Databricks or similar)

• Working knowledge of Data Warehouse design concepts and data modelling techniques

• Ability to build reporting and visualisation in Power BI (Tableau or similar tools also highly regarded)

• Hands-on experience with GitHub (repositories, version control, pull requests) and AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot
