Kyneton Toyota is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service department on a full-time basis in Kyneton. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. As an Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial part in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining Kyneton Toyota's reputation for quality workmanship and reliability.

What you'll be doing

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups, and tyre rotations

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using up to date diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge

• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and provide detailed reports to customers

• Follow manufacturer specifications and service schedules to ensure all work meets quality standards

• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations

• Stay current with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely job completion

What we're looking for

• A recognised automotive trade qualification or equivalent experience in automotive repair and maintenance

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment

• Knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components

• Experience with Toyota vehicles is highly desirable

• A current driver's licence and willingness to test drive vehicles as required

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A commitment to maintaining health and safety standards in the workplace

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks, work at heights, and lift heavy components
