About YTO Express Australia
YTO Express Australia is the Australian subsidiary of YTO Express Group, one of the world's largest integrated express delivery and logistics companies, with a network spanning more than 150 countries and regions. We are building an express and logistics network across Australia — and a brand that Australian businesses and communities can rely on.
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing international company at its foundation stage in Australia and take genuine ownership of how the market sees YTO.
About The Role
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on PR & Communications Manager to own and build YTO's brand, communications and media presence in Australia. Reporting to the Managing Director as part of the local leadership team, you will lead media relations, corporate communications, brand building and executive communications, and act as the face of YTO to the Australian market.
This is a rare leadership opportunity to join a growing international company at its foundation stage in Australia, and to build a national brand from the ground up — positioning YTO as a trusted express and logistics partner for Australian businesses and communities.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Corporate Communications
• Lead the development and execution of YTO's brand and communications strategy in Australia, ensuring a consistent, credible and compelling brand image across every channel.
• Own brand building and publicity in Australia — from positioning and messaging to campaigns, content and partnerships — positioning YTO as a trusted express and logistics partner.
• Manage the company website, LinkedIn page, corporate materials and other external communications channels.
• Lead issues and reputation management, advising senior management on communication risks, crisis response and opportunities.
• Set the tone and standards for external communications and help build the communications function as the company grows.
Media Relations & PR
• Build and lead a media relations strategy; develop and maintain strong relationships with Australian mainstream and multicultural media.
• Write, edit and distribute press releases, media statements, corporate announcements and other external communications in clear, engaging English.
• Identify and drive story opportunities from business milestones — service launches, network growth, community initiatives and customer wins.
• Manage PR, marketing and creative agencies, including preparing briefs, managing timelines, reviewing deliverables and following stories through to publication.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare a monthly PR report with practical insights and recommendations.
Executive & Stakeholder Support
• Accompany senior management to client meetings, business visits, industry and public events; prepare briefing notes and capture follow-up actions.
• Coordinate corporate events, site visits and hosting of visiting delegations from headquarters and business partners.
• Prepare presentations, talking points and background briefs for executives.
About You
• 5+ years of experience in PR, corporate communications, media relations or marketing communications, with a proven record of building brands and managing media relationships.
• Experience in a leadership or management capacity — owning strategy, managing agencies or suppliers, and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to turn a rough brief into clear, publication-ready content.
• Strong stakeholder management; confident working with senior leaders, clients, media and external partners.
• A strategic thinker who is equally comfortable being hands-on — this is a ground-floor leadership role where you will both set direction and deliver.
• Full working rights in Australia.
It would be great if you also have
• Experience in the logistics, express, freight, e-commerce or supply chain industry.
• Established PR and media contacts in Australia — mainstream or multicultural, including Chinese-language media.
• Experience launching or building a brand in a new market.
• Event management or community engagement experience.
What We Offer
• Leadership salary package: $100,000 – $120,000 + superannuation, based on experience.
• A genuine ground-floor leadership opportunity — your work directly shapes a national brand.
• Direct exposure to and support from senior leadership and international business operations.
• Career pathways within a global network spanning 150+ countries and regions.
• A supportive, close-knit team and flexible working arrangements.
• Training and professional development support.
