Vehicle Testing Assistant/Detailers

About the role

Central Auto Auctions is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Vehicle Testing Assistant and or Detailers to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the automotive trades industry, specifically within vehicle preparation and testing. Based at our Eagle Farm, Queensland facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring vehicles meet our high standards before they reach our auctions. This casual position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to develop valuable skills in our vehicle testing procedures if applying for the Vehicle Testing Assistant Role.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting thorough vehicle testing to identify mechanical issues as a Vehicle Testing Assistant

• Performing detailed cleaning and detailing of vehicles to prepare them for auction (if Detailing Role)

• Operating diagnostic equipment and testing tools to assess vehicle condition if required

• Documenting vehicle condition reports and test results accurately

• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

• Following health and safety protocols and company procedures at all times

• Liaising with team members to ensure efficient vehicle processing

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in vehicle testing/automotive servicing area required if applying for the Vehicle Testing Role

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods

• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and systems

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• A valid open manual driver's licence and willingness to drive vehicles for testing purposes

• Professional communication skills

• Flexibility to work casual hours as required
