Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Wagga Wagga, NSW.

You'll work alongside experienced technicians while completing your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, developing traditional mechanical skills while gaining valuable exposure to the rapidly growing electric and hybrid vehicle sector.

No previous automotive experience or Certificate II is required. If you're enthusiastic about cars, technology and learning a trade, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside qualified technicians, you'll learn how to:

• Service and maintain a range of electric, hybrid and conventional light vehicles.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.

• Assist with vehicle inspections, servicing and scheduled maintenance.

• Develop an understanding of electric vehicle battery and high-voltage systems under qualified supervision.

• Assist with repairs to braking, steering and suspension systems.

• Use manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment, workshop tools and technology.

• Identify faults and assist with increasingly complex diagnostic work as your skills develop.

• Follow strict workplace and high-voltage safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organised and professional workshop environment.
