We are seeking a Technical Product Specialist who's obsessed with improving processes and approaching product decisions from an innovative technology-first mindset. This person will drive continuous iteration, not just maintain the status quo.

The opportunity

A well established Australian technology business operating in the B2B supply chain and electronic document exchange sector going through a significant platform transformation project and needs an expert who can sit between the business and the development team, make the hard calls, and keep a complex, multi-phase build on track through to completion.

This is a technical product lead role for someone who has built and shipped real products in integration-heavy environments, and isn't intimidated by code or architecture diagrams.

What you'll do:

• The build: Milestone accountability without micromanaging; scope, sequencing and resourcing calls backed by clear commercial rationale

• The EDI domain: Trading partner connectivity at a technical level: message standards, VAN architecture, mapping complexity, and what it actually takes to migrate customers off legacy platforms

• The bridge: Translating between what's being built and what the business needs it to deliver, and holding both sides accountable to that connection

• The blind spots: Challenging architecture decisions before they lock in; surfacing integration risk, dependency gaps and technical debt before they become problems

• The scrutiny: Working alongside an experienced architect and a highly capable AI developer, you'll have the depth of technology expertise to read their work critically and enough credibility to push back and be heard
  

Experience and skiils you'l bring:

• Innovative thinker: improves and reimagines processes, not just executes within them

• Tech-oriented decision-making: evaluates product and process choices through a technology lens

• Project leadership: sets up and runs project management tools, manages people and cadence (weekly/fortnightly rhythm)

• Startup/small-company fit: has operated in lean environments (startup to a few hundred people), not exclusively large corporates with more resources and structure

• Product-side experience: has shaped product requirements and strategy, not just implemented against customer specs

• A track record delivering a significant platform build or transformation: You know what a real delivery plan looks like and have managed scope and resourcing decisions under commercial pressure. Accountable for outcomes, not just outputs.

• Domain exposure to ERP, warehouse management, or supply chain software

• Fintech, financial services, or payments background

• A development background: you've written code, reviewed PRs, or led engineering teams at a level that holds up in an architecture review. You are fully conversant in a technical discussion.

• The presence to lead a room of engineers, a GM and board-level stakeholders: direct, clear, and unafraid to say when something's wrong
  

Highly desirable experience:

• Australian healthcare or retail supply chain experience

• PEPPOL e-invoicing / Australian digital procurement knowledge

• GCP, Python, modern cloud-native integration architecture

• Vendor/partner delivery management experience

• Production exposure to AI/ML tooling

• Subscription or usage-based billing model design experience
