Finance Manager (Hands-on)

Help build the finance function of one of Australia's fastest-growing SaaS companies.

As we continue our international growth, we're looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance function.

This is a genuine opportunity to work alongside the CEO and executive team, helping shape the financial direction of a fast-growing global SaaS business.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position where you'll own the finance function from end to end.

You'll oversee day-to-day accounting, manage our overseas bookkeeping team, produce financial reporting for the Board and Executive Team, and continuously improve our finance systems and processes.

This role would suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also contributing strategically to the growth of the business.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Finance Leadership

• Own the finance function across Australia, Japan and Thailand

• Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting

• Produce accurate Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reports

• Develop budgets, forecasts and financial models

• Deliver commercial insights to support executive decision making

• Monitor company cash flow and working capital

• Partner with department leaders on budgeting and financial performance

Accounting & Bookkeeping Oversight

• Oversee all bookkeeping activities across the Group

• Manage offshore bookkeeping resources

• Review payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Ensure month-end close is completed accurately and on time

• Complete or review BAS, GST, FBT and statutory reporting

• Coordinate annual audits and tax compliance

• Maintain strong financial controls and governance

Systems & Process Improvement

• Own and improve our finance systems, including Xero and related platforms

• Automate finance processes wherever possible

• Improve reporting, dashboards and internal controls

• Help integrate finance systems with CRM and operational platforms

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency using automation and AI

International Finance

• Consolidate reporting across multiple international entities

• Standardise accounting processes across Australia, Japan and Thailand

• Work closely with external accountants and advisors

• Support foreign currency reporting and international compliance

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and improving the way finance operates.

You're equally comfortable reviewing a reconciliation as you are presenting financial insights to senior leadership.

You'll thrive in a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with:

• 5+ years' experience in accounting or finance

• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion)

• Experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Financial Accountant or similar role

• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards

• Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills

• Experience managing month-end reporting

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• A continuous improvement mindset

Highly Desirable

• Experience within a SaaS or subscription-based software business

• Multi-entity accounting experience

• Experience managing overseas or remote finance teams

• Xero expertise

• Financial planning & analysis (FP&A) experience

• Experience supporting high-growth businesses

Salary

$130,000 – $155,000 + Super, depending on experience.

For an exceptional candidate with extensive SaaS and international finance experience, we are open to negotiating a higher package.
