About the Role

This is not a sales role.

It is not a traditional marketing role.

It is not an administration role.

Instead, you will become the person responsible for ensuring our commercial operation runs efficiently and that our sales team has the information, systems and support required to succeed.

You will own our CRM, improve our commercial reporting, coordinate product launches and sample programs, identify new business opportunities through research and data analysis, and ensure important commercial projects are completed.

Your success will be measured by how effectively you improve the productivity of our commercial team.

What You'll Be Doing

CRM Management

Our CRM is one of the most valuable assets in our business.

You will take ownership of maintaining and continuously improving it.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate customer records

  • Updating architect, builder and developer contacts

  • Ensuring opportunities are correctly recorded

  • Monitoring follow-up activity

  • Improving data quality

  • Creating better CRM processes

  • Identifying gaps in customer information

  • Ensuring our CRM becomes an effective commercial tool rather than simply a database


Commercial Analysis

You'll use data to identify opportunities for growth.

This includes:

  • Analysing customer purchasing behaviour

  • Identifying dormant customers

  • Identifying opportunities for re-engagement

  • Researching upcoming commercial projects

  • Monitoring sales pipelines

  • Producing reports that help management make better decisions

  • Identifying trends within our customer base

We're looking for someone who enjoys asking questions such as:

  • Which customers haven't purchased recently?

  • Which architects should we reconnect with?

  • Which builders are winning more projects?

  • Which product ranges are growing?

  • Where are opportunities being missed?


Sales Support

Your role is to help our sales team become more effective.

You won't carry a sales budget and you won't be expected to cold call customers.

Instead, you'll help by:

  • Researching new projects

  • Identifying opportunities

  • Preparing reports

  • Coordinating customer communications

  • Assisting with product launches

  • Helping ensure salespeople have the information they need

  • Reducing administrative burden


Sample Program Management

Our sample boards are a critical sales tool.

You'll coordinate:

  • Sample board forecasting

  • Overseas production

  • Inventory management

  • New product samples

  • Product information

  • Distribution planning

Attention to detail is essential.


Commercial Marketing

You'll assist with commercial marketing initiatives including:

  • Website updates

  • Email campaigns

  • Product launches

  • Case studies

  • Customer presentations

  • Brochures

  • Social media administration where appropriate

This role is focused on commercial outcomes rather than creating social media content.


Business Improvement

Technical Skills

Essential:
