We are a visionary hospitality company and we are seeking an experienced National Operations Manager to lead the transformation and growth of our newly acquired and re-branded hotels and motels across regional Queensland and New South Wales. With several acquisitions under their belt and more on the horizon, they are implementing renovation and growth plans to set a new standard in service delivery. The company is looking for a hands-on, business-savvy leader to develop the potential of each venue’s management team and drive occupancy growth.
The Role: As the Group Motel Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of this expanding portfolio. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth, overseeing operational execution, and managing a senior leadership team across multiple locations. Your goal is to boost the performance of each venue, open new growth areas, and deliver strong returns on investment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic development, execution of renovation upgrades, and business growth initiatives across the portfolio of the Birch Hotel Group
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring high performance in occupancy, customer satisfaction, and financial metrics through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
Develop bi-annual plans that enhance operational efficiency, focusing on people, process, customer experience, and performance.
Define and implement marketing initiatives tailored to each region to increase brand visibility and occupancy.
Roll up your sleeves and get hands-on with execution when needed, providing direct support to venue managers.
Analyse financial performance, budgetary targets, and key business metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Cultivate a culture of high performance and accountability within the management teams at each venue.
plan, organise, monitor, and control service operations to ensure compliance across all Motels/Hotels, and meet financial and contractual obligations
What You Bring:
A proven track record of achieving financial goals and operational success within the hospitality sector.
Experience in launching brands, driving new openings, and scaling growth across multiple locations.
Exceptional communication skills that allow you to engage with everyone—from venue staff to senior stakeholders.
Strong connections in the industry, particularly with suppliers, and a knack for negotiating and managing supply chains.
A broad operational background, encompassing marketing, media, team development, and leadership.
Analytic and strategic thinking abilities, with a talent for improving operational outcomes through data-driven decisions.
Highly organised and detail-oriented—you maintain consistency across all locations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
