About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join QCC GROUP on a full-time basis at our Woolloongabba, QLD office. This is a pivotal position within our finance function, where you will take responsibility for managing financial operations, reporting, and analysis to support the strategic objectives of the business. As Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing valuable financial insights to senior management. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the organisation's financial performance and growth.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards

2. Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all journal entries and account reconciliations

3. Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures and internal controls to safeguard company assets

4. Prepare financial reports and analysis to support management decision-making and strategic planning

5. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow functions

6. Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards

7. Monitor and analyse budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions

8. Lead and supervise finance team members, providing mentoring and support for professional development

9. Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance and reporting requirements are met

10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement system enhancements to drive efficiency

What we're looking for

1. Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Finance, or equivalent professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA preferred)

2. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant financial management experience in a corporate or in-house accounting environment

3. Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, and management accounting

4. Strong proficiency with accounting XERO software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are essential

5. Solid understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax legislation, and audit requirements

6. Proven ability to develop and implement financial controls and policies that enhance operational efficiency

7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

8. Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders

9. Experience managing and mentoring finance team members is advantageous

10. Professional demeanour with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
