Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our global financial operations, managing multi-currency transactions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable & Payable: Process international vendor invoices, manage multi-currency billing, and ensure timely payments and collections.

• Bank Reconciliations: Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations of multi-currency bank accounts.

• General Ledger Support: Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.

• Intercompany Transactions: Reconcile balances and transactions between our various global corporate offices.

• Expense & Compliance Management: Review staff expense claims, corporate credit cards, and assist with local tax compliance (e.g., GST/VAT reporting support).

• Financial Reporting: Assist the Senior Accountant in preparing monthly management reports and variance analysis.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or actively working toward CA/CPA/ACCA qualification).

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role. Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping industries is highly regarded but not required.

• Technical Savvy: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).

• Core Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with global teams and suppliers.
