Sales Representative

Seeking a Full-Time Sales Representative to join The Fine Food Merchant team!

The Fine Food Merchant is a premium food and beverage distribution business based in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We're on the look-out for a motivated, energetic and personable individual to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of existing customers and actively pursue new business opportunities within the Gippsland Region, Outer Eastern Suburbs & North Eastern Victoria. This includes a varied group of customers – independent supermarkets, green-grocers, butcher shops, & premium, independent specialty stores.

This role will largely consist of:

• Service existing customer network (order taking, stock merchandising, display building)

• Drive distribution & compliance within your territory

• Overall relationship building

• Cold calling potential new customers

• Overnight travel included within call cycle

About you:

• You must be located residentially within your territory; 50km radius from Pakenham (Outer Sth East/Eastern suburbs).

• FMCG sales experience is preferrable and advantageous but not required. We are first and foremost chasing:

• The right attitude, willingness to learn and a passion for the work we do.

• A natural people person with the ability to build relationships and hunger to drive sales.

• Tech-savvy individual that is comfortable working autonomously.

Salary is subject to experience. Company vehicle and tools of trade will also be provided for the successful applicant.
