Accounts Payable Officer (Part-Time – 4 Days per Week)

Lorden Vella is a growing commercial construction company based in Braeside. We pride ourselves on delivering quality projects while maintaining a supportive, collaborative and enjoyable workplace.

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (4 days per week). This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing accounts administration with general office coordination and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll provide valuable support to both our finance and project teams.

Accounts Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accounts Payable inbox and respond to supplier enquiries

  • Process supplier invoices using our invoice automation software (SmartUi)

  • Process invoices within our accounting system (Premier) where required

  • Process retention invoices

  • Set up new suppliers in accordance with company procedures

  • Complete supplier credit applications

  • Process company credit card bills as required

  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance Manager

Office Administration Responsibilities

  • Manage the main office email inbox

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls

  • Order office supplies, stationery and staff uniforms

  • Maintain stationery and uniform registers across the office and project sites along with tracking project defects

  • Coordinate IT requests with external providers and maintain the IT asset register

  • Liaise with office cleaners and coordinate cleaning schedules

  • Organise office birthdays and team celebrations

  • Assist with general office presentation, including kitchen organisation and coffee machine maintenance

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys supporting a busy team.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous Accounts Payable experience

  • Experience within the construction industry (preferred but not essential)

  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail

  • A friendly, professional and positive attitude

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Good Microsoft Office skills and confidence using computer systems

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

  • A proactive approach and willingness to help wherever needed
