Senior Finance Manager

$130,000 to $150,000 + super | Full-time | Windsor, Melbourne

We are looking for a high-calibre, business-savvy, hands-on Senior Finance Manager to own the finance function for an Australian-founded global real estate AI company.

You will be the senior finance person in the business, owning the numbers, strengthening our financial systems and ensuring the company is always ready for growth, investment or a strategic transaction.

We are an Australian-founded technology company with teams and operations across Australia, India and the United States.

We build SaaS and AI products for the real estate industry and are entering an important new stage of growth and innovation.

You will work directly with the two Founders and have genuine influence over how the company operates, scales and prepares for future strategic opportunities.

What you’ll own

You will take responsibility for the complete finance function, including:

• Monthly management and Board reporting

• Budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling

• Cash flow, runway and working capital management

• Month-end and year-end processes

• Accounts payable, receivable and payroll oversight

• Consolidated group accounting across multiple entities and regions

• Intercompany accounting, reconciliations and regional reporting

• Tax, audit and statutory compliance

• Financial controls, policies and process improvement

• Commercial analysis, pricing and project profitability

• Oversight of external accountants and finance support teams

• Improving the quality, speed and usefulness of financial reporting

• Supporting acquisitions, capital raises, due diligence and strategic transactions

• Maintaining reliable financial models, reporting and data room materials

• Working with founders and advisers on transaction analysis, valuation inputs and deal preparation

The objective is simple: accurate numbers, clear visibility and no surprises.

You will build and maintain the investor-grade financial infrastructure needed for consolidated forecasting, commercial decision-making and future transaction readiness.

What we’re looking for

You may currently be a Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller or experienced Finance Manager ready to take full ownership.

We need someone who enjoys ownership, autonomy and problem-solving.

Someone who can move from reviewing cash flow, to resolving a cross-border accounting issue, to improving a forecast, to supporting due diligence, then explain the numbers clearly to the founders.

You will bring:

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification

• Strong management reporting, forecasting and cash flow experience

• Strong experience managing and maintaining budgets

• Experience in SaaS, technology or another recurring-revenue business

• Experience managing consolidated reporting across multiple entities or business units

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets capability

• Confidence working with founders, executives, Boards, auditors and external advisers

• Experience improving systems, controls and financial processes

• Strong commercial judgement and problem-solving capability

• The ability to operate independently and get things done

Highly regarded experience

• Worked across Australia, India and the United States

• Coordinated accountants, advisers and finance teams across multiple countries

• Supported an acquisition, business sale, capital raise or other strategic transaction

• Managed due diligence, data rooms, valuations or transaction preparation

• Worked with private equity, investors, corporate advisers or M&A teams

• Experience in a globally distributed SaaS, technology or AI company

What won’t suit

This role is unlikely to suit someone who has only worked in a large corporate finance team with highly specialised responsibilities.

It also will not suit someone whose international experience has been limited to receiving reports from overseas teams.
