Accounts Payable Officer

The Opportunity

A&F Recruitment are partnering with a successful Australian wholesale and distribution business to recruit a newly created Accounts Payable Officer.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll join an established Accounts Payable team that's expanding from two team members to three. Working across multiple entities, this role is ideal for an experienced Accounts Payable professional who enjoys a structured, high-volume environment and is seeking a stable, long-term opportunity with a collaborative and supportive employer.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end accounts payable processing

• Processing supplier invoices and maintaining vendor records

• Preparing scheduled and ad hoc payment runs

• Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution

• Employee expense claims and credit card reconciliations

• Supporting month-end, year-end and audit requirements

• Assisting with process improvement initiatives across the AP function

• Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely invoice processing

About You

You'll ideally bring:

• Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable position

• Exposure to wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, retail or other inventory based businesses

• Experience using Syspro or another large ERP system such as SAP, Oracle or JDE will be highly regarded
