About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll be the hands-on finance anchor as the division stands up including building processes, reporting and controls from scratch while staying close to the numbers. You'll be:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, balance-sheet reconciliations and internal reporting to the parent
- Managing WIP / project accounting (AASB 15), job costing, margins and forecasts
- Owning weekly cashflow forecasting, budgeting and reforecasts
- Building project reporting packages and month-end processes from a blank canvas
- Partnering with project managers and site teams to drive commercial outcomes and cost control
- CA/CPA qualified with 4–7+ years' experience
- Ideally a blend of audit/business services and commercial experience
- Strong on WIP / revenue recognition, job costing and cashflow forecasting (construction experience a plus, not essential)
- A problem-solver who takes ownership and figures things out without hand-holding
- Commercially minded and comfortable challenging stakeholders in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong Excel (modelling, pivot tables, XLOOKUP); Power BI an advantage
- $135,000–$145,000 + super, with flexibility for the right candidate
