About Us
Glas Energy is a renewable energy development company driven by purpose and powered by experience. We work across the full life cycle – from early-stage development to engineering, financing, construction, and long-term operations. At Glas, our work speaks for itself. Across Australia, we deliver renewable energy projects that combine technical precision with long-term performance. From solar farms and battery storage installations to hybrid microgrids and renewable fuels, each project is a testament to our commitment to smarter, cleaner energy.
We are a privately owned, fast-growing renewable energy and digital infrastructure developer, and we are now building out our finance function to match our ambition.
About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Manager / Senior Finance Manager to join the Glas team at an exciting stage of our growth. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Melbourne or Sydney.
Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a central role in uplifting our finance processes and systems while driving the financial and commercial outcomes of the business. You will be involved across the full spectrum of finance – from operational finance through to capital raises, M&A, project financing and the establishment of new business ventures.
This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role with a genuine growth pathway to Head of Finance as the business scales. From time to time you may also assist with our broader group businesses. If you enjoy variety, pace and the chance to shape a finance function rather than simply maintain one, this role is for you.
Duties & Responsibilities
Partner with the CFO to uplift finance processes, systems and controls and to drive the financial and commercial outcomes of the business.
Lead the day-to-day finance function, including transactional finance, month-end and year-end close, and ensure financial deadlines are met.
Prepare, review and approve month-end and year-end working papers, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Oversee and support capital raises, M&A activity, project financing and the financial establishment of new business ventures.
Develop and deliver management reporting, financial analysis and commercial insights to support decision-making.
Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, cash flow management and monthly budget reporting.
Review and approve legislative compliance obligations including BAS, payroll tax and superannuation.
Manage bank and financier compliance and prepare bank covenants where applicable.
Implement and streamline finance software and develop procedures and working instructions.
Manage relationships with auditors, tax accountants, lenders, investors and other external stakeholders.
Provide leadership, mentoring and training to other members of the finance team.
From time to time assist with broader group businesses as required.
