FLAT is a global engineering group which has invented patented, manufactured and commercialised hydraulic fluid locking technology with stabilisation and alignment capabilities and is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in accounting within a successful import, wholesale and distribution business. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience across all areas of finance while working alongside an experienced team.

About the Role

This is a varied role where you will be involved in:

• Accounts Receivable and customer account management

• Accounts Payable processing and supplier reconciliations

• Inventory receiving and purchase order matching

• Bank reconciliations

• Multi-currency transactions

• General accounting support

• Month-end assistance

• Inventory and stock reconciliations

• Administrative support to the Finance team

This position offers genuine career progression into a broader accounting role.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• 2–3 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bookkeeping or Assistant Accounting

• Exposure to MYOB, Xero or similar accounting software

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

• A desire to build a long-term career in accounting

Highly Regarded

• Currently studying Accounting, Commerce or Finance

• Experience with inventory or stock control

• Exposure to multi-currency transactions

• Experience in importing or manufacturing industries
