3-6 MONTH INTERIM CONTRACT ROLE – POTENTIAL TO PERMANENT

Challenging and rewarding environment, our client is the peak body for Victorian organisations that specialise in family and gender-based violence. This includes primary prevention, early intervention response and recovery. Whilst this organisation receives substantial government funding, they are independent and are a non-government body.

This is a senior role responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across the finance function. The role is accountable for ensuring strong financial governance, sustainability, compliance, reporting, budgeting, risk management plus all other areas expected of the most senior finance professional in an organisation.

Key responsibilities will include;

·       Supervising a Finance Officer

·       Oversee all payroll, accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliations

·       Preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting

·       Maintain robust financial controls

·       Support the CEO & Board with high standard financial reports and analysis

·       A range of other finance and senior management tasks

You must be able to demonstrate similar experience within a similar work environment including Not-for-Profit and/or Community type organisations and be supported with CPA/CA qualifications.

This is a small team environment so you will need to be a team player and be prepared to assist others when necessary.

A Police Check will be required for the successful candidate.

The initial arrangement will be for a period of 3-6 months. There is potential for this role to become the longer term permanent position.
