Customer Service & Operations Representative (Transport)

We are seeking a proactive Customer Service & Operations Representative to join our Banksmeadow team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing customer service with operational coordination, ensuring drivers, customers and internal stakeholders are supported to achieve exceptional service outcomes.

No two days are the same. You'll play a critical role in coordinating daily transport operations, responding to changing priorities, and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently while delivering outstanding customer experiences.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Team, you will be responsible for coordinating daily transport activities, managing driver efficiency and vehicle allocations, and acting as a central point of communication between customers, company drivers and warehouse operations.

This position requires excellent organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to remain calm and solutions-focused when priorities change.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily driver activities, vehicle allocations and transport schedules.

• Ability to work Tuesday - Saturday 4:00am - 12:00pm

• Respond to operational changes including delays, urgent bookings and customer requests.

• Liaise with customers, drivers, warehouse teams and operational leaders to ensure service expectations are achieved.

• Monitor driver hours, fatigue management and compliance with NHVR, HVNL and Chain of Responsibility requirements.

• Provide accurate service updates and resolve customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.

• Maintain operational records and support reporting on fleet utilisation and service performance.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, WHS requirements and operational procedures through your decision making.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and customer outcomes.

• Contribute to a collaborative, positive and safety-focused team culture.

About You

You are an excellent communicator who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly. You have strong attention to detail, are confident making decisions under pressure, and are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

To be successful you will have:

• Previous experience in customer service, transport allocation, logistics coordination or a similar operational role.

• Experience within the transport, logistics, aviation or supply chain industry will be highly regarded.

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and experience using transport management systems.

• Sound understanding of WHS, HVNL and Chain of Responsibility principles.

• A flexible approach to working rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends where required.

• The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Federal Police Check and Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

Desirable Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Transport & Logistics or a related discipline.

• Chain of Responsibility (CoR) or Dangerous Goods awareness training.

• RACA and/or AACA accreditation.

• Experience within aviation freight or airport logistics operations.
