About the opportunity
The Scott Pickett Group is seeking an experienced Group Accountant with a proven multi-venue track record to manage the daily, weekly, and monthly finance function for our dynamic group of restaurants.
The base for the role will be in Northcote, Melbourne, with requirements to travel to our restaurants from time to time.

About the role:
Reporting directly to the CEO, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Timely preparation of Profit & Loss reports and financial statements.
Preparation of all weekly and monthly management reports, including group budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
Monthly financial reporting preparation and analysis, working with venue teams on financial opportunities and challenges.
Manage compliance matters including ATO portals, BAS lodgements, payroll tax, and ASIC.
Prepare Group accounts for financial audit.
Operations & Cash Flow
Management oversight of the group accounts payable and receivable.
Management oversight of the group payroll, superannuation, and PAYG.
Management of cash flow and supplier payments.
Reconciliations of bank accounts and ledgers.
Monitor expenditures within allotted budgets for each venue and department.
Leadership & Internal Controls
Develop overall goals for the finance team, providing direction, training, and guidance to finance and admin teams.
Develop, maintain, and implement standard financial, administrative, and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
Maintain the compliance of accounting systems, reports, and procedures.
Related areas of oversight
· Management of sponsorship program for work rights related sponsorships & visas
· Oversight of IT systems.
About you: To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:
CA / CPA Qualification.
Strong technical accounting skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A proven track record in leading and managing a team.
The ability to multi-task assignments and appropriately prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities.
A self-driven, performance-based mindset that is results-orientated.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong computer skills with Intermediate/Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Exceptional attention to detail.
