About the role
Tru Brands is seeking a Part-Time Accounts Receivable, Payable & Rebate Officer to join our finance team in Bibra Lake, WA. This is a key position within our accounting department, responsible for managing critical financial operations including the processing and collection of receivables, management of payables, and administration of rebate programmes. This part-time role offers flexibility whilst maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and efficiency. You will play an important part in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.
Key responsibilities
Processing and recording accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment tracking and reconciliation of customer accounts
Managing accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling and vendor account maintenance
Administering rebate programmes, including calculation, verification and processing of rebate payments to customers and suppliers
Performing regular reconciliations of accounts receivable and payable ledgers to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
Following up on overdue accounts and assisting with collection efforts in a professional and timely manner
Maintaining accurate and organised financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Preparing reports and statements related to receivables, payables and rebate activities for management review
Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures as required
Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries and discrepancies
Assisting with general accounting duties as needed to support the finance team
What we're looking for
Relevant accounting or finance qualification or equivalent experience in accounts receivable and payable functions
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data management and reporting
Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
Knowledge of rebate management and processing, or willingness to develop expertise in this area
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues
Understanding of accounting principles and general ledger procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a part-time framework
Experience with financial reconciliation and problem-solving is highly desirable
Experience in ERP software Netsuite is preferred, but not essential.
