Finance Manager

As Finance Manager — Australia & New Zealand, you will take complete ownership of financial operations across both entities. This is a broad, hands-on role with real accountability from day one — covering everything from day-to-day accounting and cash flow management through to statutory compliance, financial reporting and strategic planning support.

 You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and collaborate daily with a cross-functional team spanning sales, operations, purchasing, technology and HR. As the most senior finance person on the ground in Australia, you will be the financial backbone of our AU/NZ operations.

Accounting & Financial Operations

•       Full ownership of all accounting duties across the Australia and New Zealand entities — payables, receivables, treasury, general ledger, taxes and reporting

•       Accurate and timely completion of management reporting, financial statements, analysis, budgets, forecasts and business plans

•       Streamline and implement robust financial controls to ensure the finance function operates efficiently and effectively — both operationally and cost-wise

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

•       Full responsibility for funding and cash flow management including liquidity planning and cash flow projections

•       Active oversight and management of accounts receivable collections to optimise cash inflow

•       Manage and optimise cash inflow and outflow across both the AU and NZ entities

Tax & Statutory Compliance

•       GST reporting, claims and compliance across both Australia and New Zealand

•       Work closely with external auditors and accountants to ensure annual audits are completed accurately and on time

•       Ensure full compliance with all tax and other regulatory requirements across both markets — ATO, ASIC and IRD (NZ)

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Special Projects

•       Collaborate daily with a cross-functional team covering sales, operations, purchasing, technology and HR

•       Support the Group Financial Controller, senior management team and board of directors on special projects from time to time — typically including due diligence and sales incentive planning

•       Act as the primary financial point of contact for the AU and NZ business — providing clear, timely financial insight to non-finance stakeholders

Essential Experience & Qualifications

•       CPA or CA qualified with 5+ years of progressive finance experience

•       Strong working knowledge of Australian tax and statutory compliance — GST, ATO and ASIC reporting obligations

•       Proven ability to manage the full finance function independently in a lean, fast-paced environment

•       Experience in a retail, e-commerce or consumer products business preferred

•       NetSuite or similar ERP experience advantageous

•       Excellent communication skills — equally comfortable presenting to senior leadership and working with non-finance teams
