About the role

Creative Electrical is seeking an experienced Electrician and or Apprentice 3rd or 4th year Electrician to join our growing team based on the Gold Coast. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on the some the Gold Coast's most prestigious homes. Whether you're an experienced tradesperson looking to move companies or up skill to high end residential homes & home automation, or an apprentice looking to get out of the daily grind and work for a company that values your worth and can train you into an asset and set you up for a bright future in the electrical industry. The role will be predominantly on residential projects with a small amount of commercial work. Our work is on the Gold Coast for builders and clients we have worked with for years. What you'll be doing

1. High end residential properties, new builds from incoming mains stage to hand over

2. Lighting, power, home automation, home theatre, Cctv, access control.

3. Working in a fun family business on local sites for great builders

4. We will help you up skill to have knowledge in Cbus & home automation

5. Under ground and over head mains, Switch boards, sub-boards & meter boxes

6. Led strips, pendants, pre-wiring, mounting Tv's and touch screens

7. Some commercial maintenance for our long terms clients and friends at Alphafit & Patriot Campers

8. For Apprentices: Working closely with our Director or another Tradesman to ensure you get the most out of your apprenticeship, we want to create a future not just a job.

What we're looking for

1. For Electricians: A current Electrician's Licence with proven experience in residential electrical work

2. For Apprentices: 2-3 years experience in a residential apprenticeship with knowledge in new homes

3. Knowledge of Energex metering rules & Australian AS:3000 Standards

4. Any experience in high end residential & home automation (Cbus) would be beneficial

5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment

7. A reliable work ethic, punctuality and professional attitude

8. Current First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

9. A valid manual driving licence and access to reliable transport

10. For Apprentices: Year 10 or equivalent educational qualification

We are offering a full time Gold Coast position with competitive rates & remuneration packages. A take home work vehicle depending on the applicant. Full time hours with the option for overtime on request or work load. For apprentices, we provide structured training, mentorship from experienced Tradesman and support through your formal apprenticeship pathway. About us

Creative Electrical has been established for over 15 years and in that time have employed over 20 staff between apprentices, tradesman and contractors. We know how to create a great working relationship and environment and that is our core focus, as a small family business it is so important to us to have a friendly work space. Beyond that we work along side some of the Gold Coast top tier builders and developers, the projects are interesting and the hours are good. An average day would be 7-3 or 6-2, maybe some occasional over time if there is a project to hand over. We try not to work weekends or too far away from home to maintain a good work to home life balance.
