About the role
Winston Express Haulage Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated transport company with a proud 36 year history located at St Marys, NSW seeking an organized, detail-orientated & dedicated Administration, Accounts & Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our finance and administration function, offering the opportunity to manage critical financial and administrative processes that keep our operations running smoothly. You will play an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll processing, and providing administrative support across the organisation with opportunity for advancement.
This position is Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm & Saturday 8:00am - 1:00pm

Key responsibilities
Processing and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Preparing invoices and processing payments to customers, suppliers and contractors
Managing payroll administration including timesheet processing, wage calculations including overtime, allowances, leave entitlements and trip rates for approximately 55 staff.
Maintaining accurate financial records and ledger entries
Ensure compliance with relevant Modern Awards and legislation
Generating financial reports and statements for management review including a weekly income report
Supporting general administrative functions including data entry, filing and record management
Answering incoming calls and manage your email inbox
Order office supplies and assist management with ad-hoc administrative tasks
What we're looking for
A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in accounting, payroll, or finance administration roles
Experience in a transport business would be an advantage
Sound knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Strong Proficiency with Reckon Accounts Hosted accounting software
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and word processing applications
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Accurate attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across all departments
A working knowledge of Australian tax and employment law relevant to business operations
Professional discretion and the ability to handle confidential financial information
A current driving licence
