We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled System Administrator & User Support Specialist to join our IT team. This is a hands-on hybrid role that combines systems administration with frontline user support, ensuring our employees have secure, reliable and efficient access to the technology they rely on every day.
Working as part of a collaborative global IT team, you'll help maintain and improve our IT infrastructure while providing outstanding technical support to users across multiple locations. What you’ll be doing
Systems Administration
Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including patching, backups, performance optimization, and ongoing maintenance.
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and wireless networks.
Manage Microsoft 365 services, Azure AD, Intune, and Exchange Online.
Implement and maintain endpoint security solutions, including antivirus, encryption, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Monitor system health and respond promptly to alerts.
Manage software licensing, IT assets, and hardware lifecycle planning.
User Support
Provide remote IT support to all Medisca locations while meeting established helpdesk service level agreements (SLAs).
Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Support local IT infrastructure by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including warehouse technologies such as scanners, printers, and network devices.
Manage and resolve user support requests efficiently, escalating issues where appropriate.
Coordinate user onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning, device setup, and access management.
Train users on IT policies, security best practices, and new technologies.
Security & Compliance
Enforce IT security standards, including password policies, MFA, and conditional access.
Support compliance initiatives, including ISO, SOC, and GDPR requirements.
Assist with incident response, vulnerability remediation, and security improvements.
About You
You're a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting users and continuously improving technology services. You communicate clearly, build positive relationships across the business and take pride in delivering a high standard of service.
You’ll also bring:
3-5 years’ experience in systems administration and/or IT support
Strong knowledge of Windows Server Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM or similar
Experience with PowerShell scripting and basic automation
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs
Experience with Azure AD, Exchange Online, and cloud identity management.
Familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing platforms such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Freshservice.
Experience with virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V or VMware) and backup solutions such as Veeam or Acronis.
To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
