Finance Manager

DACHSER is a German freight company that was founded in 1930. It has grown into a global market leader in system logistics, known for its culture of cooperation, sustainable growth, and innovation. DACHSER Oceania comprises of locations in Australia and New Zealand. We are seeking to appoint a Finance Manager based in Melbourne.

Key Tasks include:

• Manage the Finance department including three team members.

• Manage the daily Cash Flow.

• Manage Accounts Receivable collections and debtor report.

• Manage Accounts Payable payments to carriers and local suppliers.

• Manage client invoicing KPI’s.

• Manage job profit report and carry out the relevant review to ensure job profit is reported accurately.

• Oversee the shared accounts email mailbox.

• Attend to month end requirements.

• Ensure Finance Department SOP's are adhered to and up to date.

• Identify opportunities for procedural improvement.

• Work closely with department Managers with problem solving.

• Support the Head of Finance with other tasks required.

• Role model the DACHSER values and behaviours.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

•  A sound working knowledge of the CargoWise logistics system.

• Substantial experience in international freight forwarding.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.

• Proven experience in leading a team and positively influencing others.

• The ability to collaborate with others and build positive working relationships with various stakeholders.

• A relevant qualification is desirable but we are flexible for candidates with industry experience.
