Inventory & Purchasing Assistant

Highly successful, international manufacturing and wholesale business, supplying top-tier customers across diverse industries in FMCG, Agriculture and Construction.

Reporting to management at our Brisbane head office, you will be working with our offshore manufacturing team, external suppliers, and local supply chain and logistics.  

You will be required to analyse and monitor inventory movements, customer usage, ordering patterns and stock holdings, schedule reorders and follow up throughout our national warehouse network to ensure supply chain fulfillment is optimized.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong analytical and planning skills and ability to problem solve. 

Key Responsibilities

·        Analyse stock movements, identify discrepancies and ensure the business is supported with accurate inventory levels.

·        Maintain accuracy levels throughout the purchasing, import and stock transfer stages using critical analysis, review and accurate data processing.

·        Review stock allocations and sales patterns to maintain consistent supplies and exceptional operational efficiencies

·        Work closely with operations teams to keep supply flowing smoothly

·        Prepare reports and support forecasting to improve purchasing decisions

·        Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery

·        Recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy

 What We’re Looking For

·        Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory, purchasing, production planning or stock control

·        Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft, Excel, CRM and ERP

·        A detail-focused professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·        Confident with numbers, reporting, and stock movement analysis

·        Excellent organisational and time management skills

·        Process driven with initiative to implement solutions and improvements

·        Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to learn new systems/processes quickly

·        Enthusiasm, motivation with a strong work ethic where you take pride in your work
