About This Role
This permanent part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys transactional accounting, takes pride in accuracy, and wants a consistent Monday-to-Wednesday schedule. You’ll work closely with the Accounts Administrator and the broader team, helping to keep our accounts receivable, accounts payable, reporting, and financial administration running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Ledger & Invoice Management: Coordinate the regular generation, distribution, and allocation of customer invoices and statements.
Accounts Receivable: Conduct routine, professional follow-ups on outstanding balances via email and phone, following established internal workflows.
Accounts Payable: Assist with vendor invoice entries into ERP system and match receipts to monthly bank statements.
Account Inquiry Resolution: Serve as the primary contact for daily customer billing questions, resolve routine discrepancies, and address vendor inquiries regarding bill settlements.
Reporting Assistance: Compile data and prepare preliminary documentation for weekly and monthly reports, such as accounts receivable aging reports, etc., for management review.
Month-End Support: Assist the Accounts Administrator with month-end closing activities, including standard balance reconciliations and audit trail preparation.
Process Administration: Ensure all financial documentation, correspondence, and payment plans are accurately logged in ERP system.
Administrative Support: Assist with general office administration tasks as required to support the broader team.
Skills & Experience Required
Education: A Certificate IV in Accounting/Bookkeeping, a related business qualification, or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance is a plus.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar Bookkeeper or Accounts Clerk role.
Systems: Strong proficiency with cloud accounting software (Xero or MYOB is highly regarded).
Technical Skills: High accuracy in data entry and intermediate MS Excel skills (managing spreadsheets, data sorting, Pivot Tables, or XLOOKUP).
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to professionally liaise with internal staff and customers.
Reliability: Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively across your 3 rostered days.
