Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with multiple sites, based in Sydney Olympic Park. They are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will suit a technically strong accountant who thrives in a complex, multi-entity environment and is comfortable managing financials across international entities.

About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will suit a technically strong accountant who thrives in a complex, multi-entity environment and is comfortable managing financials across international entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reports
- Manage intercompany accounting, consolidations, and eliminations across multiple entities
- Assist with statutory financial statements, tax, and compliance requirements
- Manage fixed assets, inventory reconciliations, and cost accounting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Guide and review the output of team members, providing technical support where needed
- Liaise with stakeholders across sites and international entities
- Assist with audit preparation and drive process improvement initiatives
- 5+ years' experience in financial accounting within a complex, multi-entity environment
- Strong experience across international entities, including intercompany accounting and consolidations/eliminations
- Manufacturing and/or construction industry experience highly preferred
- Degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA/CA (or near completion)
- Strong knowledge of AU/NZ accounting standards
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience using ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to guide and review team output
- High integrity, proactive, and accountable, with a hands-on approach
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to identify issues and implement practical solutions
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
