Accounts Officer

About the role

This role is focused mainly on accounts receivable and accounts payable in an environment where you can grow your skillset with ongoing training and support. This role will also provide cover for other Finance roles during periods of leave and participates in the Reception phone queue – a vital role to ensure our customers have a great experience with us.

Experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable is preferred and you must be able to demonstrate an interest in working in the field of finance, have demonstrated accuracy and efficiency in your work, have some administration experience with a knowledge of Word, Excel and preferably experience providing great customer service.

This is a full time role.

About You

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently within a busy team and can take direction and follow procedures. If you come from bookkeeping, small business or accounting/finance study with limited experience we'd love to talk to you!

What we’d love to see:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Highly developed skills in participating as a member of a team to successfully achieve objectives that contribute to improved organisational performance

• Business qualifications are highly regarded

• Previous experience in accounts, particularly accounts receivable is highly regarded, but not essential
