Accounts Payable Manager

We're partnering with a rapidly growing national business seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to take ownership of a high-volume AP function and lead a small team through an exciting period of growth.

The Opportunity 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Accounts Payable function across a multi-site national operation.

You'll lead a team of two while remaining hands-on when required and will play a key role in strengthening controls, governance and operational efficiency.
This role would suit an experienced AP Manager, AP Team Leader or Senior AP Supervisor who enjoys balancing people leadership with process improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Accounts Payable professionals
• Oversee a high-volume AP function processing thousands of invoices monthly
• Review and strengthen AP controls, policies and procedures
• Improve approval workflows and governance processes
• Drive process improvement and efficiency initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders across multiple business locations
• Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing and payments
• Support system and automation improvements where appropriate
• Produce reporting and insights relating to AP performance
• Build scalable processes capable of supporting ongoing business growth

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience leading an Accounts Payable function or team
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable controls and best practice
• Experience operating within high-volume invoice processing environments
• Demonstrated process improvement experience
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• A hands-on and practical approach to leadership
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment

Experience within multi-site, multi-entity or shared services environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.
