Chronic pain is complex and optimally treated in a multi-disciplinary pain management program (including physiotherapy, psychology and medical).  Evidence on the effectiveness of our programs have been demonstrated compared to 120 other pain management providers in the Electronic Persistent Pain Outcomes Collaboration (ePPOC). We currently require a dedicated professional to provide virtual medical reception and administrative services for our network across multiple sites. Responsibilities may include processing referrals and making bookings, taking and managing phone calls using Ring Central desktop software and managing busy email inboxes.

The role will consist of a minimum of 30 hours work from home over 4 days. The role is as a casual employee with potential for permanent over time. The pay range displayed above is for a casual employee rate.

Training will be provided but the following skills, requirements and personal attributes are mandatory:

  • At least 3 years working in a medical reception role including telephony with references supportive of outstanding customer service and communication skills

  • At least 3 years’ experience with a computer based front desk system (eg Nookal, PPMP, Pro Medicus)

  • Competency with MS Office Suite

  • Laptop no more than 3 years old and with 16GB RAM and Microsoft Office 365 installed (with access to the desktop versions of Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Second monitor

  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills

  • An ability to learn independently primarily from operational manuals (with support)

  • Professional work ethic, integrity and honesty particularly given the work from home environment

  • Unrelenting attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of emails and information in an effective and efficient manner. We will measure accuracy across all databases and provide feedback

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • The discipline and drive to follow directives through to completion

  • Willingness and availability to commit to the role for a minimum of 18 months
